The winners of The Urbanism Awards 2006 were announced last week and Ludlow triumphed in the Great Town Category.
Following a nomination process between February and May 2006, a comprehensive Shortlisting process was undertaken and local authorities and representatives across Great Britain and Ireland welcomed The Academy of Urbanism and its members to their village, town or city to best promote their short-listed location. It is from these visits that a body of evidence was created for each nomination using the Academy's Manifesto as a basis for assessment.
